How do concert pianists memorize.?
I play the piano using chord notation. Not well, but fun .When watching concert pianits, I am always amazed at their speed and memory . I can figure out notes for chords with right hand, but figure I would have to memorize them, as it would take too long to figure out when sight reading.
1. can experts sight read 3 and 4 note right hand chords?
2. Do they just practice until they have them memorized?
3. how do they memorize a long concert piece? Is it just endless practice?

i think it's really something they practiced over years they just "absorbed" the music and their hands are working automatically, practice makes perfect =)
