Tempura batter recipe?

Does any one have a good tempura batter recipe for vegetables.

I would like to fry zucchini and eggplants.

Also what type of oil do you use for the recipe.

Thanks - please let me know what Cuisine its used in (ex.: chinese tempura batter)

    This is the recipe that I use.

    1 cup flour

    1/3 cup corn starch

    Add water and beat until smooth.

    I also add a tbsp. of chicken soup base and a tbsp. of lemon pepper.

    You can use whatever flavorings you like.

    It's important to flour the veggies so that the batter will stick.
