How to take care of a genet?

I have a pet genet. But it is not a very famous/popular pet so your not familiar with it. Okay, so here's a genet from Wikipedia and other websites:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genet_(animal)

http://www.jandaexotics.com/Genets.html

http://www.infobarrel.com/Exotic_Pets_-_The_Genet

http://melissaasmith.hubpages.com/hub/genetcare

http://www.squidoo.com/genet

I searched on the internet about genet care, but I still have questions that those websites did not answer. So here are my questions:

1. How should the genet drink water? In the water bottle, dish/bowl, or both?

2. Can I ONLY feed my genet superworms, eggs, bananas, and mangoes?

Perhaps you shouldn't have bought an exotic 'wild' animal if you have little knowledge on how to care for it. Contact a zoo and disguss surrendering it to them. If you truly have its best interest at heart, you'll contact a reputable zoo.

I am providing a link from a genet owner, who describes in quite good detail the care and feeding of their genet. But since you already have found it, is seems to answer your questions quite well.

Apparently, they have a Facebook page, so you can connect with other genet owners.

Since they are very ferret like, a simple water bowl should suffice.

If you don't know how to properly care for one, then WHY do you even own it. DO your homework and research instead of seeking opinions from those who have as much knowledge as you do - which is next to nothing.

You don't go get a pet (which may be illegal to own) and then start asking about care and how to feed it.

You did very little research if you can't find the diet. PLEASE contact a zoo and consult with them about this.
