Which show is better, American Idol or the X-Factor?

I say X Factor now. American idol has became more about who is cute and it's been the WGWG winning for the past 5 seasons

X Factor they are more fair in terms of the voting.They let America vote but the Judges decide between the Bottom 2(until the top 4) who goes home

as a show, X-Factor mainly because of Simon. The judges on American Idol are just repetitive and most of the time they say the stupidest things. But when it comes to contestants, American Idol still wins it. Idol gives their contestants better opportunities in the industry than X-Factor but Simon counters it with a $5M dollar prize, and he got Britney and Demi on the panel. I hear Idol is also changing it up next year since their ratings are dipping. Both have ups and downs, it just depends on the viewer.

They're both pretty bad, but the X-Factor is slightly less corrupted by ignorant young girls who vote for the cutest guy. So... X-Factor
