Is it legal to use a gun for shark fishing in florida?

    I don't think it's illegal to SUBDUE a shark with a gun offshore- but, you'd have to be targeting HUGE shark to NEED a gun. Most of the time you can get away with a "fish billy" for anything under 6FT- 7FT http://www.tackledirect.com/aftcofishbat.html

    Also, I'm pretty sure you can't discharge a firearm on a beach- SO, unless you mean OFFSHORE Shark fishing, the answer is NO.

    I certainly wouldn't want to be caught firing off rounds early in the morning OR late at night, (the best times to Shark fish) on land.
