96 explorer radio install question?

Does a 96 explorer xlt require a dash kit for a double din radio? I have a pioneer double din monitor I'm putting in and can't seem to find a dash kit for it

    You can find a way to do it without a dash kit, but a kit will look better and make the installation easier. Look for a Metra 95-5600 or 95-5817 kit.

    it shouldn't, all you need to do is match the screws and it should work
