Let's also have an "assault vehicle ban" an "assault aircraft ban" I mean --after all it is our fault we desire and use U Hauls and Boeing's. Our love of these two evil devices our founders could not conceive and therefore did not mean, have killed hundreds and thousands.

So, give them UP! Or, the Queens troops will be forced to come in and take them. Which will be our own fault for disobeying. We natives must not be permitted things that we'll hurt ourselves with.

Internal combustion and jet engines being designed for military use. They therefore have no civilian use.

Yes. We don't need to ban the guns, but we do need to make mandatory training for all gun owners. If you want to buy a gun, you have to have a license, and that license should include the ability to carry concealed in all 50 states. The training needs to cover all the safety issues, especially with kids and unstable family members around. And make it to where if you do something too irresponsible you could face losing your license, for not securing weapons and such. This would get people serious about buying gun vaults and locks for their guns, and putting up their ammo.

We also should do away with the high capacity magazines. No one needs the the ability to shoot 50 rounds in one sitting, without reloading.

I would keep all the same guns out there, and just force them to buy smaller clips, and have a buyback of large magazines, and make smaller ones for guns that currently use the larger.

There is no such thing as gun control. Why? Because there's millions of ILLEGAL GUNS already in circulation and criminals don't care about laws. The Patriot Act already puts restrictions on certain types of guns, amounts, magazine styles, but this has been effect since 2001.

You cannot have a reasonable discussion with people who just parrot what others tell them. When you have people who do not know the difference between semi automatics and military automatic assault weapons, it is hard to make an argument.

Most all firearms in the U.S. are semi automatics. What people refer to assault weapons often refers to those only after they are modified or accessorized. One may be legal until you add a detachable magazine. So until people educate themselves rather than just repeat what they hear or read, it's useless

    No

Mass murder is already against the law. So is taking guns on school property. Another law that will be ignored is not the solution.

nope. aint taking my damn guns away. I agree with the first answer, people control not gun control. the worlds a mean place, its the cruelest freaking thing you'll ever know, our world, our time, right here, right now. you'll never stop it. more and more Americans are running to uncle sam saying "protect me, im scared. i need you!" i think thats pathetic BS

Unlike moron progressives, I do not believe that the cure for all perceived problems is to pass another law.

No, it's not time for gun control. That's more tragedy waiting to happen to the tune of prohibition.
