Is it time for car control.?

Is it time for the is to get serious about cars? 35 children a week are killed by cars in this country. Did you know that a car at your home is more likely to be driven by you or a family member than an intruder? Is there any reason for an ordinary citizen to have a car with a 10 gallon fuel clip? Did you know that anyone can purchase a car without a background check? What about hummer assault trucks. Hummers were designed for solders on the battlefield why do the belong in our streets. Statistics don't lie, where there are less cars there are less car deaths.

Update:

Vet's Daughter

It's great that you feel that the 35 children killed a week in car accident aren’t as important as the 20 kids which killed at the tragedy in Connecticut. Since we're going down this road let’s look at some statistics. Every year 39,195 Americans are killed by cars. That’s 12.3 per 100,000 capita. In the UK only 3.59 per 100,000 are killed by cars. Why are car deaths so much high in the US then in the UK.

We have car control. It's embodied in laws pertaining to licensing, registration and traffic regulation.

Nice of you to make fun of the deaths of children. But 35 kids killed by several cars in a week isn't the same as 27 people killed in a few hours by one person.

I agree. There are too many costs associated w/ bad drivers and careless drivers. Get them off the road.
