Have you ever been asked to interview in a public place?

Hi, I've been asked on a job interview by a potential employer. It is for a job in the medical field, however I've been asked to meet the owner at a local coffee shop. Is this commonplace now? I've never heard of it and I feel I should be a bit wary... The company seems to check out online. Also if this is the norm, how do you order a small French vanilla cappacino at Starbucks?!?! Lol. Thanks for any advice!

I have been interviewed at a small restaurant/cafe near the company I was applying with before. It was a very good interview in a relaxed atmosphere. I don't know how common this type of meeting place is to hold a job interview, but it is not that unusual at all, so I don't think you have any reason to feel wary.

As for your drink order...I haven't worked there for awhile and they may have a french vanilla syrup now, but I don't think so, so you will simply order a vanilla cappuccino.

"I'll have a tall vanilla cappuccino"

I think your drink choice is fine. It's a very simple drink and doesn't have a bunch of crazy add-ons. Ordering something that you enjoy drinking will just show the interviewer that you're comfortable and real.

    Good luck with your interview!

This should be a relaxed atmosphere. Don't order anything fancier than the interviewer. Give it your best shot.
