Why MS Word/Excel 2010 yields huge top margin on printout?

I've been searching the web for clues but no luck. I have an A4 Word2010 document with 0.4" top margin set but the print has about 1.5" margin. (Same is true with spreadsheets I made in Excel2010.) The side and bottom margins are fine. Updating the printer's driver (Xerox WorkCentre 5335) didn't solve it. However, when I print the document in Word2003, all is perfect. What's wrong?

Update:

I already did saving the document to Word2003 but also didn't work when printing in 2010. But now I GOT it guys! Thanks for giving me a hint that prompts me searching the web again and found some clues. I scanned thru the Word Options, under the File menu. I clicked the Advanced tab and scrolled down in the Print group. There I found an option that says "Scale content for A4 and 8"x11" paper sizes" and uncheck it. The advice in one of the websites actually told to uncheck the "Print in background" option.

Are you actually using A4 paper? The standard in the U.S. is 8.5"x11", not 8.3"x11.7" which is what A4 is.
