It looks quite amateurish. The picture is decently painted (if a bit blah, especially the face), but the figure is too large in comparison with the type, which is all crammed into the upper and lower edges and too small to read unless you zoom in. And they seem to have forgotten the author's name entirely!

The cover is too plain: it doesn't illustrate any sort of excitement, which we normally associate with adventure, especially one wherein pirates are involved.
I would say it will be more eye-catching if the cover is changed into one where the character is in motion. It doesn't matter if it's a real person or a drawn (traditionally or digitally) one, just make sure that the action can be seen and felt by potential readers/buyers. If there's anything like a raging storm or, maybe, a battle with other pirates, put it on the cover. I also recommend vivid colors. You can use a lot of black, but make sure that when you include reds and yellows, they stand out--like how lightning looks in a stormy night.

Quite good and very professional, but doesn't smack you in the eyes, the portrait is good, but the background too dark?
Can I boast and say I think the chap who did mine produced a better image.
