Rights are rights because they are what is right. Convincing a majority of people that they are not right does not stop them from being rights. We are a nation dedicated to protecting the rights of all its citizens, not one dedicated to enforcing Judeo-Christian morality. We are a democratic republic, not a totalitarian theocracy. If you want to live in a country where religious values are enforced by law, move to Iran or something.
