Why is the Zimmerman case a big deal?

Redneck racists are trying to justify the killing of an unarmed child simply because of his race.

Defend his life? From an unarmed teenager? I don't think his life was in danger. That's the problem. He pursued someone after being told to stop and then ended up shooting someone who didn't have a gun. Is it objectively as big of a deal than all the other people shot and killed since? I guess not. But people can understand violence when it's between gang members or in a bad neighborhood or when it's an accident. We can make sense out of it. This just seems even more stupid and pointless. Add to that it was a black guy killed by someone not black and people are going to naturally wonder if it had something to do with it.

Because people like Al Sharpton and Jessy Jackson made it a big deal for the black people at the time when nobody knew anything other then Travon Martin other then he was killed. Never thinking that he could of not known about the night security patrol in that walled compound. Which places the blame either on his dad and step mom not informing him bout it or that the home owners association did not inform all the residents in the compound.

No disrepect to the victim, but I can't stand hearing the "hate" spewing from the Martin side. Just read where the father said an obcenity to opposing side. Whether it's true or not, this circus of a trial, makes me sick. Of course it's about race & revenge,not justice. "Second degree murder"? Give me a break! Manslaughter seems the sensible & appropriate sentence.

It isn't a big deal. It was a big deal before Zimmerman was arrested, but now he is just another murder suspect. The right wing seems to want to keep this on the front pages.

When people get shot in Chicago it is over Gang Violence, and the shooters aren't immediately arrested because the shooters are unknown.

When Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin, he was released without bail or charges based on his word, rather than being arrested. It was an unfair application of the law that got everyone's attention, not the crime itself.

Out of all of the millions of murders the news always has to make a huge deal out of one.

The media, Obama and Holder made it a race issue to stir up racial hatred.

Liberals hate white people.

Simple, Black people with no class made this a racial thing and it worked!

Because liberals started off pretending Trayvon was this innocent little boy barely out of diapers who does nothing with his time but buy candy and sing little kid songs....and now that they know he was actually an habitual gun-toting criminal and bully, they don't have the balls to retract that view.
