Did Briggs & Stratton have a good reputation 18 years ago?
I have an MTD Yard Machines 600 Series Lawn Tractor Special Edition Shift on the go from approximately 1996-2002 with a Transmatic Transmission no smoke upon start up from Oil that is burning/Oil Leak. 16 Horsepower Briggs & Stratton Twin 2 Engine with Cast Iron Sleeve built for the professionals. It still Drives and Runs like NEW.

Briggs & Stratton has ALWAYS had a good reputation for strength and reliability. If they are properly maintained, they seem to run forever.
