I've discovered I have aqquired the taste for Heineken and Budweiser?

Are there any other brands of Beer I would like or not like I drank Budweiser about 3 times since I turned 21 and first time ever drinking Heineken Beer?

Update:

I only drink Alcoholic Beverages once in a while but I know enough about them to know that I don't like Wine or Miller Beer or anything produced by the Miller Beer Company. I am not real big on Fruity Alcoholic Drinks I mostly just drink Beer no Liquor.

Update 2:

The first thing I drank when I turned 21 was Beer. I am almost 21 and a half.

try Samuel Adam: Boston Lager then try Samuel Adams: Cream Stout

Now.... if you really want to bust your taste buds wide open... try Sierra Nevada Pale Ale but be warned... it is not for the faint of heart. Pale Ales (beer style) have a pretty strong taste. They taste like bitter grapefruit/lemon and it's not because they add these flavor, it's because of the type of hops used to make this style.

you see... there are over 100 different beer styles and they all have a different taste. For example - stouts usually taste like chocolate and/or coffee because of the type of barley used to make the beer. Sam Adams: Cream Stout is what you call a "sweet stout". It has a very nice chocolate/coffee flavor to it. Scotch Ales (another beer style) have a very caramel/dark fruit taste and again, it's not because they add these flavors, its all in the type of barely used to make the beer.

What you're currently drinking (bud and heineken) are called "pale/euro lagers" or "adjunct lagers". They have very little flavor because the brewers don't use special hops or special barely to make those beers and as a result, they typically have a skunky grainy taste, especially Heineken. It's really grainy and skunky. i used to drink these beers but not anymore, there so many better beers on the market today.

The smaller breweries are making the best beer you can get now days. Boston Lager is good introduction to high quality beer made by the small brewers. it's easy to drink and has a nice taste to it. Boston Lager is a Vienna Lager (yep, another beer style). Vienna Lagers usually have a very floral taste from the type of hops used. I do like them...

anyhow.. here's a video review of Boston Lager -

this site will explain the different beer styles and what they taste like -

you can also get beer reviews here.. find a place that sells craft beer, you will see something that looks like this on the shelf...

yep, those bottles with corks in them on the top shelf are beers... they're high quality beers that have massive amounts of flavor.

After 55 years of experience, I have concluded that Beck's is the perfect beer- and its cheaper than Heineken.
