Are my Harman/Kardon CL Headphones quite a step up in sound quality from my old pair of Sennheiser HD-202 Headphones?

Not sure if I was impressed by AKG Headphones and couldn't afford better models from Sennheiser.

Update:

btw the Sennheiser HD-202's still work after 5 years very little wear and tear.

Update 2:

I just couldn't see paying $250.00+ for headphones from Sennheiser or AKG and other brands.

Update 3:

The other headphones are available I know there is Bose, Beats by Dre, Skullcandy, Sony and other brands like AKG and then we have really cheap and inexpensive nothing really seems highend for Headphones that can think of suggestions maybe Sennheiser and AKG, JBL.

Little wear and tear does not mean better sound. If you are into sound and headphones $250 is not an issue at all. Once you start getting into this thing you will understand why people spend large amounts of money into headphones and the equipment. This can go for almost anything in life really.

Oh yeah, I will put my money on that the H/K will absolutely sound better.

I own the older silver version of yours. I don't know how different the drivers are but mine are just okay. A bit tinny and that is a real turn off for me. For the price point they are just okay to get by. A bit uncomfy too for my head. Spend time with better headphones and you will realize. If not then stick to what you have and enjoy them. This audio thing can get expensive and you just really can't stop at one set of headphones. It is almost always the grass is greener type of thing.
