By giving in to threats and cancelling the showing of The Interview hasn't Sony handed the terrorists a win?
Well, North Korea at least if not actual terrorists.

No!
It is sad so many actors are condemning the move since we have already seen so many people killed and injured in terrorist attacks so common sense says not to put people in danger!
How many deaths and injuries would these people think acceptable if showing that film went ahead?
Sony must have assessed the risk of retaliation before they wasted their money on a film that was always going to annoy possibly the world most unstable and warlike nation!

I certainly think so. I understand that post-9/11 America is not so self-assured as it used to be, but if we have nothing else, we have our values. One of our most cherished values is the right of free speech, and if we don't make a stand in favor of it--on our own turf, too--everyone loses.
For everyone answering that the decision was correct: Please remember that many Muslim extremists have vowed vengeance for something as silly as a little cartoon...but the reaction to "that" little episode has been different than what has happened in the case of "The Interview." I hardly see this as a separate issue; we cannot let any ideology dictate the quality of our lives. North Korea is clearly bullying ordinary American citizens, theater-goers, and a response of fear is the last thing we should give right now.

um...NK's governmen ARE terrorists.
Yes. They did. SONY should have bitten the bullet, made some distribution deals, sent this straight to video, then RELEASED it into the wild free for every distribution and site who wanted to show it. AS the goal of NK was to keep the film from being shown...at least you get a moral victory out of this.
Obama needs to nail this down and kill this type of terrorism in the bud. The potential for harm is unlimited for this kind of action

A movie company vs a terrorists nation.
One week to figure out what they are up to so that you can ...what? Watch a movie?
You live in a different world, today. Would sitting in a front row seat at the local theatre really make you feel victorious over a hostile nation that has been test firing missles?

No.. they are exercising sound safety advice. Personally, I think that big corporations do have more than a financial vested interest in themselves.. I wish the rest of the world would adhere to this bit of
sound medical advice.. FIRST DO NO HARM!!!!!
secondly, dont set you/and your group up to be judged as the most hated enemy...A lot of kindness goes a long way toward a more cohesive world.. After all, we are all in this together..if not on earth, just where in the infinite universe would we be? NO where.. It would surely be a silent place..

Yep, anytime you cow tow like that you demonstrate that somebody merely "hacking" into private accounts, can make you do anything.
