Would, and could, Obama use an executive order to overturn the 22 Amendment of the Constitution and extend his term as president?

Yes, I do understand that the amendment would have to be voted on, ordinarily, by Congress. But given Obama's propensity for using executive orders-which every president does- would it be out of the question for him to do it?

Its amazing how many conservatives don't know the first thing about the Constitution of the United States. Fear over facts.

An amendment can take place by a vote of two-thirds of both the House of Representatives and the Senate followed by a ratification of three-fourths of the various state legislatures (ratification by thirty-eight states would be required to ratify an amendment today).

No, of course not. But there is a route. Obama is barred by the 22nd amendment from being "elected" president again, but nothing about vice president.

The 12th bars anyone from being a VP who can't "serve" as president.

Nothing bars a former president from being a VP, then taking over upon the resignation of the head of the ticket.

Will it happen? No. But it could.

An executive order can't override an amendment, in theory.

Sure. Obama can do whatever he wants, but the result will still be Bush's fault. Great system, eh?
