well the great messiah Obama let Ahmadinejad speak because of all the guilt he has for living in this great country

but when Netanyahu spoke it went against all of his talking points

and if you do not obey the talking points of liberal progressives

    you are considered evil

Ahmadinejad had a hard time getting a diplomatic visa to go to the U.S. to address the U.N. He wanted to visit the 9/11 memorial and was not allowed to do so. Dont know why. Ahmadinejad was invited to speak at Columbia but was criticized during his talk, and asked why did they invite him if they didnt want to listen respectfully. So it wasnt a picnic for him.

Netanyahu himself is seen as ingratiating himself with Republicans to further his election bid in Israel since Republicans always support Israel right-wing policies. The White House was not notified abut the visit which made Obama look foolish. And Netanyahu injected himself into the discussions about Iran which he is not a party to. This is why Dems boycotted his speech but he was given a roaring ovation many times. It got to be annoying.

    Most Americans embraced Benjamin Netanyahu!

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was given a "great welcome" by the United Nations General Assembly, as was his right as an elected head of state of a member nation of the UN (irregardless of his politics, which I find odious). He was also pretty famously put in his place in a Q&A session at Columbia University.

    Those are somewhat different audiences.

Netanyahu presides over a nation that PROMOTES "kibbutzim" living....neighborhoods deliberately-managed like "tiny communist entities".....Ahmadinejad leads a VERY Right-wing theocracy....

THAT is why, in a nutshell...

To see the REPUBLICAN-MAJORITY US Congress fawn all over Netanyahu was a crystal-clear demonstration of how the GOP value appearances over substance!
