Is it normal for a 39 year old female to live with her mother and father with no intentions of moving out?
I guess acceptable is a better word than normal.
It's also not for financial reasons. She has been a teacher and made good money for 17 years now.

No it's not! Sounds like she is spoiled never had to work for anything ect. I would kick her out it's time she starts being an adult.

No its not normal. And how do you have a dating life? If there is no reason other then maybe parent's health issues, then WHY would you not want to be on your own with your own place.
Are you contributing to any household expenses or living with them for free?

It's not for financial reasons either. She has worked non-stop for 20 years making good money. I would love to have no bills like her. LOL

Being normal is over rated.
When I tell people I am 53 and have never been on a plane, they tell me I should just take a flight somewhere just to do it. I tell them, "Well I've never had surgery either! Should I cut myself open just for shits and giggles?"

If she doesn't need to do this for financial reasons, so much the better! If she is doing this as a matter of being frugal, and this allows her to save thousands of additional dollars a year, allowing her to build up her retirement nest egg much faster. And she can retire before she starts feeling the impairments that come later in life. More power to her!

In most parts of the world, it is perfectly normal to live with your parents as long as they will have you.

It depends on many circumstances. Lack of and cost of housing. Nearness to work, stays home because she gets on surprisingly well with parents and an awful lot more.
