Give the democrats time. Each one moves us a little closer. Of course, since the Nazis are also socialist, so do the republicans.

Given that more and more Americans are becoming POOR, this might not be a bad thing. If Trump doesn't have his money...

Our liberal founding fathers wisely set up a Yin-Yang balance between socialism (taxpayer owned, taxpayer-funded) and capitalism (privately owned, for-profit) system of government here in the United States, and we function best as a nation when this crucial balance is protected and preserved, with each providing a built-in system of checks and balances for the other. Too much capitalism without the balance of taxpayer-owned socialism (to include oversight and consumer protections) unleashes bottomless-pit corporate greed and corruption (banking system MELTDOWN anyone?). Too much socialism without the competitive impetus of capitalism causes stagnation or slow growth. We need both.

Republicans of today tend to slip into big-money corporate collusion, using their Trojan Horse "deregulation" or "smaller government" trickery that is a dereliction of duty on their part as our elected lawmakers. The most Liberal among us Democrats or Independents like Bernie Sanders sometimes let the heart (compassion) overrule the head (logic). Rational moderation is the best way to go, and the Yin-Yang balance has worked well since the founding fathers set the balance up on purpose in our Constitution.

NO ONE should have a Socialist government. It's a recipe for disaster. Just look at Venezuela.

No because socialism has been a failure throughout history, but people need to realize that we already have some socialist programs.
