What's wrong with Christians?

While reading opinions on news stories , I have noticed that there is a lot of animosity directed toward Christians by liberal Americans. Why? Did they do something bad to you or hurt you in some way?

Liberals are interested in power. They have no interest in democracy, or freedom except insofar as it applies to them. There are more violent acts committed against Christians and Jews than there are against any other group. Liberals are fine with that, but they know they can't admit it so they try to hide it with projection, red herring and straw man arguments. Liberals, leftists whatever you want to call them have far more in common with 1930s brown shirts than they do with thinking people. They are little more than trained seals barking on command and lately the command is to bark at religious people except Muslims. Ever wonder about that?

As a Christian of progressive political alignment, I have a problem with the reactionary political leanings characteristic of my faith's strident extremists. What's wrong with them? Their politics don't square with Christ's teachings, so they fail to bear much fruit of the Holy Spirit, and thus they fail at representing God's kingdom. That's what.

They demand that the schools teach nonsense instead of science, and they insist that their "religious freedom" gives them legal authority over other people's sex lives. They scream that all billion of the muslims in the world are terrorists because ISIS, but take no responsibility for their own homegrown lunatics like the guy who shot up the planned parenthood gynocologists. They base their lives and morals around a book that most of them haven't read all the way through, that was written in the bronze age by men who thought slavery was an ethical business practice.

They hurt themselves as much as they hurt anyone else, but it won't stop until they start coming to their senses.

It's not all or even most Christians I have a problem with, it's the very vocal extremist that think their religion should dictate the laws. People have a problem with Muslims for the same reason, the extremist among them try to impose their religion on others.

Yes, Fundamentalists have tried to destroy anyone who thinks differently. They are not trustworthy. Mainstream Christians are not the problem, but a subset with lower education is. Most Liberal Americans belong to the majority Christian religions, but not the fundamentalists.

Since the French Revolution Christianity has been suspected of royalist and reactionary leanings.

Some ideas are tough to convince people out of after centuries of taking them as common knowledge.

We have no respect for conservatives. Conservatives are nothing but inbred, ugly homos, white trash.

Why do you asshoIes always have to be taking shots at liberals? Are you that ashamed of what you contributed to this country that the only way you can feel good about yourselves is to demonize liberals? Liberals NEVER even mention conservatives unless in response to your whining.

    You are real pathetic people.

As a Christian, they all find us stupid and ridiculous.

We just have to keep our head and walk by those haters:)

The "Christians" you mean are a bunch of prejudiced, xenophobic ignoramuses.
