Yahoo Mail Archive. What's the point? We've been able to create folders for as long as I can remember. Why do we need an archive folder?

Update:

It's just another redundancy, like a pop up box that says I deleted a message after it's deleted from my inbox. The worst part is they put the archive button right where the delete button used to be so I ended up with a bunch of emails archived instead of deleted because I'm so used to going to that space. If you're going to add a new button don't put it in a new spot and leave the known buttons alone. It's like some doofus at yahoo wants to frustrate us by doing stupid stuff. Why Yahoo? Why?

that's my thinking also. I make up my own folders, so why do we have to have this archive. wish yahoo would get rid of it

It works with a single click of the archive button. I can be through of as a permanent trash folder.

My problem with it is it comes up first now instead of my inbox. So I have to go back & click inbox to open that.
