Question about The Bahamas?

Anyone who’s visited the Bahamas, what is the legal drinking age? In most states or all, its 21 years old. But what is it in the Bahamas?

Officially it's 18, but it's hardly ever enforced. The custom with alcohol in Bahamas is more lax than any of the US states. If someone seems old enough, they're old enough.

What you don't want to do is be drunk in public in Bahamas, because that's not allowed.

Same as in the other states.

Most of the islands are pretty lax about enforcing drinking ages. My kid ordered shots of jaeger when he was 16 in St Kitts. He had no problem getting served beers anywhere, and he looked 16 at the time.

Legal age to drink is 18. underage drinking is common.

Bahamas police can and do arrest those that are DRUNK in public,

The crime rate on this popular island locale is quite high, and tourists are often targeted. In particular the drunk ones.

Avoid the non-tourist areas at night.

You could just as easily have googled 'bahamas drinking age' like I just did. It's 18. And in case you wonder, as many people do, whether that applies if you are from the US, yes it does. You follow the laws of the country you are in at the time, not the one you're from.
