Would it be fair to say? Hard to say no one has ever done it for that reason, but generally no, it's not from fear. Usually it is rage and despair. Suicide is at its core homicide, murder, often with a hefty component of the damage it will do to those others who are key figures in the doer's life. It can rarely, but sometimes legitimately, be a rational decision, such as someone older, suffering a hopeless chronic and painful disease, but when it is emotional and premature, it is a cocktail of rage and despair.

They don't fear life. They just know their life won't change or may not want to try anymore after being beat down so many times.

No. Not wanting to be in pain, whether physically or mentally, is a powerful motivator. It's not 'fearing life', but instead fearing a lifetime of suffering.

Some might do but most don't fear life, they feel like their life has no purpose and that they're miserable. They feel like they're better off (and maybe others) if they weren't around anymore.
