It's considered a luxury car, though the Acura TLX A-Spec trim level is considered a sports luxury car.

I think that would be the Honda Accord type R in Europe, and it would be considered a sporty executive car.Cars are smaller in Europe, probably just a sporty family car in the US

It's marketed as a "mid-size luxury sedan".

Like most luxury cars it comes with a bigger than average engine that can make it go faster than your average non-luxury car. However, as a car enthusiast I wouldn't car it a sports car, since it's specs are unremarkable compared to other luxury cars. Acura tends to market a more accessible sporty brand, but they still sell luxury cars.
