Should I take my family to New York this summer?

We would all like to go and see the sights but my wife and I are concerned at the possibility of terrorism and pickpocketing.

    If that's what you want.

you should worry more about how hot it gets.. NYC can feel like oven during the summer months.. you can all ways negate a pick pocket simply by having nothing in your pockets . and terrorism isnt really a problem in the US..

Yes, but as in any major city it is good to know which areas are best avoided, particularly at night, and where to keep valuables on your person to make it difficult for pickpockets. Terrorism doesn't seem to be a major threat to be concerned about.

What you do is you sew fish hooks into your wallet pocket so the dip gets caught if he reaches into the pocket.

Stay at home and watch youtube videos of New York, snowflake, I think it would frighten you too much.

Yes. It's safe but wear clothes that have zippered pockets and keep your important cards, money, phone, keys in them.

Yes, it's a great city, you have more chance winning the lotto than getting caught up in a terrorist attack

Why live in fear? Millions of people live in NY and go about their lives. You can do it for a few days.
