ADELAIDE South Australia - What is most interesting to see?

Looking at taking a week off leaving Melbourne via Sorrento ferry, Otway Fly, Warrnambool, Mt Gambier (Blue Lake), Nelson, those caves crossing back over the border ... Adelaide maybe 2 days then return Mildura, Swan Hill etc.

Did a similar trip 40 years ago so I imagine quite a few changes.

Any suggestions?

I would suggest doing 2 days on Kangaroo Island as it is a lovely place. A drive up to Mt Lofty and the Cleland Wildlife park and a drive through the Hills can be very pleasant.. In Adelaide there are places like the botanic gardens, museums, Adelaide Central Market and Glenelg. A trip to the Barossa Valley or Clare Valley are nice if you like wineries and vineyards. Mannum is a nice place to stop for lunch, and if you like Bakeries the Sunrise Bakery at Truro just out of the Barossa Valley is a treasure.

IDK. I suppose you could go to Parks Victoria webpage and find maps for Point Nepean & Otway Ranges National Parks. They'll show things like historic monuments and waterfalls for Otway. If you're not used to it try not driving too far in one day.

I have never found Adelaide that interesting as a destination, however it is a good base to explore the Barossa.
