Was I overreacting?

So a guy cut me off in a single lane with double sided yellow lines, while there was cars oncoming. I saw that he was speeding earlier, but thought nothing of it, until he started driving behind me. He nearly crashed into me and the oncoming vehicle. I was so pissed. I beeped at him while flipping him off. I rolled down my window, and yelled out, “You’re cool, fa*got!” The guy slowed down to hear me. And started driving the speed limit. It was a Hyundai Elantra, too. It’s not a sports car. He only passed me because I let him, if I didn’t brake in time, he would’ve crashed into an oncoming vehicle. I was really going to fight him at that moment... I later cooled off, but it got me thinking if I should learn to control my anger, or if this was justifiable?

Control it.  If you be in the U.S. realize that many carry guns and will pop you off...because they can.   Let him gamble again. Either he gets caught by a cop or smashes into a BIG MUTHA OF A TRUCK and scratches their bumper paint. Some continue to gamble that people like you will let them in rather than have them get wasted by their bad judgement call on "when to pass".   Do remember Cops also fly in planes to watch the highways from above and radio their guy on the ground on which car to nail.

You need to learn to control your emotions while driving, only bad things can come from a road rage situation.

If you want to fight every idiot jerk driver you encounter, you'll be in several fights every day. Learn to not take it so personally, or you'll eventually fight a fight that ends badly.

One day, you'll flip off or yell at the wrong person and end up getting your *** kicked or worse. It happens all the time.

Justifiable or not, that jerk could have pulled a gun and killed you. You need to chill out if only for reasons like that.
