Isnt it an argument from extreme ignorance to claim socialism cant work because it never worked before? Things almost never work first try?

Socialism has been tried, and then failed, many times. Economic analysts also study socialism and make realistic models, which is why they say socialism always fails. Socialism does not work because people do not work ( i e stop working, and insist someone else provide what they need).

The Russian Revolution was nearly 100 years ago and socialism has been tried in dozens and dozens of nations around the world.

About 150 million people died because of Communist dictators in the last hundred years. Stalin and Mao killed a lot more people than Hitler.

Despite this I still hear young people say “socialism would work it’s just the Soviet Union got it wrong”

I never hear anyone say we should give Fascism another try because Hitler just got it wrong!

Russia is a socialist oligarchy. It works for them.. The Russian oligarchs, that is.

Capitalism doesn't work either. We need a balance. We have a pretty good balance in the US (and the world) but there are people that want to destroy that balance
