How rich would one have to be to live in a town that is 99 per cent white?

How many of these towns exist in America.

The definition of "white" that's used in the USA differs from the definition of "white" that's used elsewhere. Officially, there's no difference between "white" and "Caucasian" in the USA, therefore, people of Arab, Jew and mixed stock can declare themselves white. That being said, there are a great many places in the USA which are almost completely white, i.e.: where nearly the entirety of the population is comprised of whites whose ancestors hailed from Northern or Western European stock and are non-Jewish. Such areas would include parts of New England such as ME, NH, VT and MA... Parts of Upstate NY, Western PA, the South, parts of the Midwest and Pacific Northwest. There are areas where blacks and whites live in adjacent communities, where whites live separately from pockets of Latinos, Native Americans, etc. But while the USA is statistically over 70% "white", that figure is skewed. Like the rest of the developed world, percentages of pure whites are constantly shrinking.

Some POOR areas are almost completely white. Check out West Virginia, for instance.
