Do Americans think that Australia is nothing but the out back like in Crocodile Dundee,?

    That's the Melbourne cbd. Melbourne has suburbs so harsh that not even Mick Dundee could survive them.

    I imagine that Australia is somewhat like the Southwest USA mixed with Middle Earth.

    I hope I am right.

    I'm sure that almost all Americans and British people are well aware what Australia is like.

    And yes - we know that there are many huge cities.
