IT's OKAY(I was a GENUINE SAAB technician) but be SURE to use ONLY FULLY EUROPEAN SYNTHETIC OIL< like PENNZOIL ULTRA EURO because the TURBO can blow up internally from excessive heat! BE SURE that your throttle body and PCV systems are working properly! NO VALVOLINE EVER! Mobile one 0W-40 is okay too! FACTORY FILL was PENTOSIN! It is possible to NEVER have TURBO issues if you use the proper type of oil! LIQUI MOLY is GREAT! If you RAISE the turbo pressure you will HAVE to use HIGHER OCTANE and the results will diminish since there is a COMPUTER that prevents knocking! USEING DENSO TWIN TIP IRIDIUM LASER plugs may help with octane issues There is a KIT for the THROTTLE BODY repairs if reg oil was ever used in it. The engines are VERY VERY STRONG and they use ZF transmissions which are the BEST out there! BAD oil will RUIN the PCV system and cause hose collapsing! You can expect 500,000 mile4s + with the SAAB ENGINE! Forget what the know nothings below have to say! They are GREAT ENGINES with OIL SPRAY JETS and will NOT wear out>>>BUT you must use only EUROPEAN SYNTHETIC OIL in them or hoses can blow up

If only it were that easy.

You can't do that. The ECM will compensate for any adjustments you make.

If you have an 08 SAAB that still runs you should turn the boost down not up.

How badly do you want to replace the entire engine when it blows up from too much boost?

    It's still running?!
