English as a second language?

When English is taught in non English speaking country's, is it taught with an American or British accent?

Please state what country you learned English as se ond language in.

    That depends on the location and the teacher. When I lived in Italy, the local language school was staffed by young people from the UK because they didn't need a visa to live and work in Italy whereas a US citizen would have required one. While I was there, the teachers actually had Irish accents.

    That depends on the Country India Africa  Singapore Malaysia Australia Canada all use  English spelling

    even though most computers are set By default to US English

    NO. Here in the netherlands we watch British, American and sometimes australian and newzealand TV with dutch subtitles. We either have a dutch accent or one we like and choose to work on

    There are different dialects. I speak north mid western. As for grammar British and American are pretty similar, both written and vocalized.

    english is a language and dosen't have an accent

    that comes from the person teaching the language and their attention to the correct pronounaction of the words

    It is taught by non-native speakers more often than not. Therefore, their accent sounds neither British nor American.

    Countries, not country's !

    It probably depends on the accent the teacher has.
