Please explain the insane demands for the Popeye's chicken sandwich?
The car lines around the stores, look like lines at Walt Disney world. People have gotten violent into fights or worse, over the food (or lack thereof) when they run out.
(I have NEVER eaten at Popeyes) and know nothing about their food. Yes, I do eat meat & do like fried chicken, but I would never WAIT this long in a traffic jam, for food in a line. What am I missing about their chicken sandwiches?

You aren't missing anything. We have a Popeye's up the road from us so we headed up there one day to try it out and they had them and no zoo (not in a big city). They are okay, they aren't anything special IMO. The "hot" is just a regular with some hot sauce sprinkled on it.
There's nothing wrong with them but they certainly aren't special IMO.

If you are really that curious, go check it out. Otherwise, what do you realistically hope to accomplish by asking total strangers that question? Sure, people who have tried them might tell you "because they are the most amazing chicken sandwiches in the world," but of course, that is a very subjective point of view. What makes a good chicken sandwich for you may not be the same for others. It is a CHICKEN SANDWICH, for God's sake. They are pretty much all the same. Chicken, lettuce, mayo, tomato, and bun. What else do you need to know? SMH.

Hype. It's all unfounded hype. You're not missing out on anything. I tried them on November 11th. On that day in America it was a federal holiday which would explain why the line was smaller than it usually was and which is why I was willing to wait the 17 minutes it took to get my sandwich. Anyways, it's okay, it's not great, it's just okay, and it's not worth the wait. If you want to try it then wait until the lines die down. In all seriousness, I like Chick-Fil-A better.

It's not sandwich itself. It's just a chicken sandwich. It's that people all want to be part of the latest fad. Same thing with movies. What's the big deal about seeing a movie right away? it will be around forever. yet people line up. It's just something to do.
