Is there a difference between Scurrying and Scampering?

Scampering means...To run or go hastily or quickly. Or how about, to run playfully about, as a child? I like that one.
Scurrying on the other hand means... To go or move quickly or in haste. Or, to send someone hurrying along.
I think they're pretty Close, don't you? :-) Enjoy your BA Roddy.
