How does one inherit eternal life?

The only way for eternal life is to get bitten by a Vampire.

Only by faith in Jesus Christ whose  blood was shed on the cross for sinners whom we all are.  Not thru prayers directed to images and other ritualistic means. Neither thru ones good works. See Ephesians 2:8-9. 

No one is perfect and perfection is God's standard for Heaven. See Matthew 5:48 . Thanks be to Jesus, in Him we are made perfect. See Romans 4:25

Ask Jesus into your heart

Ain't no such thing. Anybody  who says otherwise is either making up stories or reciting fairy tales. All the people who have died are dead. Nobody, ever, has died and come back to talk about it. Not ever.

Be careful what you ask for.

Eternal life is NOT the same as eternal youth.

By agreeing with God that you are a sinner and asking His forgiveness.  By realizing that His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, died for your sins and and rose again so that you could avoid hell and have a home in heaven.  By asking Jesus into your life as Lord and Savior and following Him as best you can.  Please read the New Testament for more information.  I suggest starting with the Gospel of John.  Also look up these Bible verses:  Romans 3:23, 6:23, 5:8, 10:13, 10:9&10.  John 3:16, 3:3, 1:12.  Ephesians 2:8,9. 

Something something about taking responsibility for the fall of man, an admission of guilt and subsequent forgiveness is emotional. It works, like most mass delusions, through psychological manipulations.
