Stung by wasp, safe to drink beer to ease the pain?

Just wondering if it's safe to drink a beer to ease the sting pain. Nowhere is open so can't by cream or painkillers until later.

I read somewhere that you shouldn't drink alcohol after being stung, anyone know if that's true? It'll just be 1-2 cans of stella and it's been approximately an hour since I was stung.

If it's unsafe to drink alcohol how long do I need to wait? A couple of hours? A day?

I would drink at least a couple of Stellas, especially on a hot day. Stella has special healing powers that help you forget about wasps.

By the way, seriously if you can put something alkaline on the sting area, like bicarbonate of soda, it helps, because wasp stings are acidic, so anything alkaline helps.

    Meanwhile more Stella.

Drinking a beer after you've been stung by a bee is perfectly OK - it's not going to hurt you. If you've been stung by a bee and the bee sting is causing you pain, be sure that the stinger isn't still in. If it is, pull it out and put some ice on the site of the sting for a couple of minutes. That's all you need to do.

Your question gives me the impression that you are a alcoholic or trying to become one.

How about you Pray to GOD and ask GOD for real help?

I’m an ER doctor and I deal with wasp stings every week. I would say it is not safe to drink because alcohol causes inflammation which could aggravate your wasp sting. Ice the wound for the rest of the day and try to not scratch it. You might want to take an ibuprofen and an Allegra. Wait until tomorrow to drink alcohol, it will be worth it.

ABSOLUTELY! I think you can safely drink a few beers.
