Are you a fan of a toy called a Yo-Yo? Why or why not?

It was a very popular toy along with tops when I was in elementary school in the mid to late 60's

-I got my first yoyo at about age 5 (about 1956).  It was in my Christmas stocking.  It was a purple and black wood Duncan Beginner.  I still have it.  I have had many yoyos since then.  I bought my latest one yesterday.  It is "the smallest yoyo" (according to the label).  This yoyo is a red Duncan Imperial.  This is still my favorite of all the Duncan yoyos that I have used. 

I'm not a fan because it never really grabbed me. Its basically a round thing on a string that goes up and down. Not as exciting as a frisbee or a set of boules with which you can interact in a game with someone else

Yes, I remember those. They died after the 90s. Gameboy killed it. Damn you pokemon.

I only ever played with the cheap plastic ones that were too light to have any momentum. So you just spent most time rewinding them. 

No wonder kids today prefer PlayStation !

They were popular when I was about 10 years old in 1998. I paid £15 for a really good one and played with it at school.

No, i am not a fanatic of a toy called a YOYO. That is because i am a Jehovah Witness and in my religion we are discouraged from using toys such as a YoYo because learning new tricks and reaching new skill levels is a sense of 'False Pride' and that is a sin in the bible. The only person we must pride is Jehovah himself. 👍
