Will the dealership fix my Jeep ?

Approximately 8 months ago, I had a blown head gasket and I brought my Jeep Grand Cherokee to a Jeep dealership to fix it. My head gasket has blown again, I have no idea why, I dont drive any way that it should be happening.  Am I gonna have to pay Jeep another couple thoasand to fix it again or is there some type of warranty for their repair.

IT is a BLESSING Now that JEEP and CHRYSLER do NOT use the 3.7 or 4.7 engines any more! THEY ARE JUNKERS! BEFORE you go there with it, check that your WATER PUMP is working>>>they are like TINKER TOYS made of scrap aluminum metal! ALSO>>>> check the COOLANT LEVEL! Th3eSe engine are FAMOUS for dumping the ROCKER ARMS if  carbon builds up! They have NO RETAINER SPRINGS to keep the rockers in place! It is a VERY VERY POOR engine design and there are LAWSUITS out there for this issue! I got someone a $5,000 REBATE on that engine, and an extended 5 years WARRANTY as well! there should be a MAASTER TECHNICIAN to check on ENGINE designs that cause consumers issues like this! GM ALSO had MOUNTAINS of failed engine designs, and LEAKING GASKETS they just did NOT care to fix for people! NOW THEY ARE SUFFERING as they SHOULD.!!!>>>>>BE SURE your COOLANT LEVEL IS FULL! They may TRY to F..ck with you, but You have the UPPER HAND this time! They had PLENTY OF TIME to redesign these LOUSY ENGINES and DID NOT! The junkyards are FULL OF THEM! They even DUMP the rocker arms! CADDY is ANOTHER FAILURE!! They dump TIMING CHAINS near the warranty expiration date! You will NEVER see this kind of thing from a TOYOTA or NISSAN or even a HONDA and certainly NOT from BMW, AUDI, VW, BENZ or other cars that actually have a MILLION MILE club! Their BEST engine was the STRAIGHT SIX and NOT this lousy V6 design! They REPLACE IT with the PENTASTAR which is more like a EURO engine than anything else! For THESE reasons ALONE>>> we may NEVER be GREAT AGAIN! Most of our cars were JUNK for so LONG< we do NOT have a way to even CATCH UP! I have seen LOTS of JEEP ENGINES laying about in REPAIR SHOP floors! CHECK YOUR WATER PUMP for LEAKS< on the front of the ENGINE! I cannot BELIVE how POORLY they are MADE< and they WILL cause gasket failures as well as ROCKER ARM losses! I miss the STRAIGHT SIX! It was BULLET PROOF!

Jeep 6 cylinder engines are famous for cracking their cylinder heads. No head gasket will fix a cylinder head crack. When they pull the head again, they need to magnaflux it to find if it's  cracked. Then, as others mentioned, the head needs to be checked for warpage.

If the problem was the head gasket or something they did when they installed it - then yes.

If you have another problem (say, a bad radiator, low on coolant, etc.) that is causing it to overheat, then they may try to slip out of doing it under warranty, and try to charge you the full cost again (along with whatever else is wrong).

If they didn't deck the head and replace the head, that could cause it. They might not be torquing the head bolts in the correct pattern or to the correct setting.

Dealers have a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty on their repairs.

1 year warranty for the initial repair is typical.

There is almost certainly a warranty on the dealer's repair job, but you'll need to look at the exact wording to see what it says.

And quite honestly, I would go to an independent shop instead of the dealership.  Not only will you pay less (dealer service is always the most expensive), you might benefit from a fresh set of eyes on what seems to be a recurring problem.  And no it won't void your vehicle's warranty, regardless of what the dealership tried to tell you.
