Why do Democrats treat Republican's dialog like they aren't disingenuous while Republicans treat all Democrat's communication as it is? ?

I've noticed that Democrats will treat obviously disingenuous language meant to promote ulterior reasons as legitimate; Democrats will follow Republicans down the rabbit hole, which Republicans designed, and debate endlessly about disingenuous reasons that cover up their true motivations. Why treat Republican's outrage like it's built on a reasonable foundation?

However, Republicans mock, ridicule, name call (great with creating derogatory labels at an instant's notice), etc., but they consider nothing outside their party-line messages; they won't take in any of the perspectives of the Democrats arguing since they already wrote them off as "fake" in their minds. There is like a one-way street, and Democrats don't seem to realize it.

If you disagree as a Democrat, what am I perceiving incorrectly? Two-way communication is the only way to resolve problems; democrats could be more intellectual, so they endlessly try to get through to Republicans, but in doing so, they legitimize all their irrational, ulterior language.

No one said maintaining the higher ground was easy.  Sometimes it's incredibly frustrating.  I don't worry so much about "getting through" to anyone though.

I think the key is to be open to people getting through to you.  If they're not convincing you or at least giving you something to think about then I think you can take some comfort in the strength of your position.

I'm always interested in knowing why I'm wrong so I can switch to the correct side asap.  If you strive to be correct all the time it makes debating people a lot easier and fun actually.

we tried all that scholar stuff, when so many reps don't even go to school (pre covid)  and almost all of them are hellbent on reopening the economy, desperate to keep their gaz guzzlers and the rest, then all that frankly becomes futile, i mean many of then seemingly cant's even diferentiate between a question and a non question, what hope is their of influencing their selfrighteous mantra on any intellectual political topic?, fact is some libs,  here especially, have eventually opted for, well if you can't beat them, join them policy, and are now communicating in kind.....and don't want to get personal but Trump and the whole rep admin and media mogule, have basically set the mode, for how they perceive their attitude should be..take that debacle of a presedential debate as a perfect example..
