Who would you say make the best quality sound bars?

For something like a 55in 4k smart TV?

Update:

What about Bose?

Update 2:

spacemissing; Really. I don't claim to be an expert but I'd always been under the illusion that Bose were a quality brand

We have a Yamaha - pretty reasonable from Costco.  Played Infinity Wars last night and it shook the house.  Great

You are right, the view that Bose is a quality brand IS an illusion.

Another word for that view would be *false*.

'No highs, no lows, must be Bose.'

    Buy

    Other

    Sound

    Equipment.

    Quality costs money.

Bose is overpriced for what you get.  Mind you, if you want noise cancellation or one of those portable speakers, they do fine.  But not with sound bars.  Ignore anyone that does the acronym for them because even if they made the best device in a category, that person will never ever ever consider it.  Never let yourself get that prejudiced about anything.  Some like the sound that comes from them so for them, BOSE is good.  For me, not so much (but I have a pair of QC35II headphones cause I fly a few times a year, and sony's in that category are MORE expensive)

Answer depends on your budget.  Here is an article with all kinds of price rangeshttps://www.techradar.com/news/audio/home-cinema-a...

    For most people,

the brands to consider are Yamaha and Samsung  -----

but I don't like sound bars.

I use regular speakers connected to a conventional sound system.

Bose = "Buy Other Sound Equipment".

This brand makes GROSSLY overpriced junk.

It depends a lot on price and what your willing to pay Bowers and Wilkins makes some outstanding sound bars and so does Martin Logan but at what price...If your looking at more down to earth product I think I would say Yamaha...Yamaha has some really good sound bars as completive pricing that get rave reviews.
