Are Land Rovers the Jeeps of the U.K?

The last Defenders imported into the USA were probably the best out of the factory off road SUV made.  I wanted one of those but they rode too rough for my wife so we ended up with one of the first Mercedes ML models.  

Yeah, there are a few topics. Travel/Australia and Israel are full of trolls. Politics is full of alt-right children. I never understood why the Jeep topic is loaded with Jeep bashers. I mean, if you hate the vehicle so much just go away. Why the need to go to a topic just to throw trash at it, day in and day out? 

People with way too much time on their hands, no doubt.

no land rovers are 4 wheel drive vehicles , original jeeps where 4 cylinder piles of rubbish , new jeeps are over powered american junk .land rovers are famous as the only needed 4 spanners at the most .best test is which runs while submerged to the roof ..lol

My Dad bought a Jeep Cherokee in 1992. At the time it was considered between a Land Rover Discovery and a Range Rover. 

Roll on 25+ years, the Disco is now a luxury SUV (above a Grand Cherokee ) and the Range Rover is in super luxury car territory .

The Cherokee is now a rebadged stretched Fiat 500!

Both Jeeps and Land Rovers are capable off road and reasonable on it ( stretching a point with the Wrangler and old Defender), but they are also amongst the worst brands for reliability. 

That is why theUN use Toyota Land Cruisers and terrorists worldwide use Hi-Luxs.

Like all Brit cars, nice seats with high quality leather so you'll be comfortable while waiting for the tow truck.

I'd never buy a Land rover. It's a British POS. 

No they are much better than jeeps 

I think Land Rovers are too expensive.  Jeeps are poor in quality.  Give me a Bentley any day.

Land Rovers are the worst cars I've ever worked on.

Land Rovers are suppose to be a step above jeep.
