Can I convert my 2005 Nissan Murano from all wheel drive to front wheel drive only? ?

My rear differential went bad I can't afford to get it fixed?

You would still need your differential.

I’m sure it’s possible , many people convert Subaru Imprezas to RWD for drifting, but there’s a lot of work involved , and I doubt if it would cost any less than getting it fixed properly.

just go to a scrapyard, get a differential, and put it on your car.

Went bad? Disconnecting the drive shaft maybe but the axles will still turn the diff. Don't believe you can pop the axles. The hubs connect there.

Just fix it. Can you afford not to drive it?

No you cannot do so. Even disconnecting the rear drive won't affect the differential movement when the wheels turn

You can remove the drive shaft that goes to the rear differential

it would be cheaper for you to just fix it
