There's no reason to care what other people talk about me. So, I would keep having breakfast and enjoy a warm drink of hot chocolate. If they continue to stare at me, I would smile and say hello to them.

I have traveled alone many times and 90 % of the time I would eat alone. Unless I meet someone there. But never have I paid attention to who is looking..believe it or not there is a great chance that they were not looking nor thinking Bout you..

I've travelled solo since 2015. I've never cared about what people thought of me. Especially in the morning, I'm hungry and I just want to eat and start a new day of adventure.

Business people have meals alone while traveling all the time. My husband travels all over the US and usually has dinner out or at the hotel restaurant by himself. He would ignore it. Honestly he would never notice them staring in the first place.  I would probably look up and say Hi Good Morning, if the staring went on for awhile.

Don't care.  Some people are nosy and like to gossip.  They must have very dull lives.

I travel alone often for work.  I enjoy being by myself.   I really don't care if people are talking about me.  On the other hand, I'm a guy.  Many of the women I work with hate traveling alone.  I can go to the hotel bar, and have a drink without saying a word other than ordering my wine.  Women often don't have that luxury, as some guys have the mistaken idea that any woman alone in a bar is looking for a hookup.  The women I work with like traveling with me because they know I'm happily married, a good conversationalist, and I'm "safe".  I also research restaurants, so they know we will be eating well.

When people stare at me, I run with it!  I'll grab any old object nearby and start modeling it like a cheesy gameshow model.  Other times I'll just stare right back at them, all wide-eyed.  Gets them every time.

If it's obvious they're talking about me, I'll yell, "A little louder please!  I enjoy hearing all about the person I love!"

I would feel bad about that . People assuming you are lonely or sad give you a complex .
