Salaries ?

He must earn enough to pay his bills. That amount is dependent on his bills, obligations, and lifestyle choices. Does he live alone, with roommates, or still with parents? Does he own a car, make payments, ride a bicycle? Does he cook at home, go out a lot, or bring in takeout every night? All those things impact how much he must make. A trainee store manager in my area would make around 50k/year. The university pursuits would make no difference in pay, and having experience at many companies probably doesn’t influence pay a lot.

"must a guy earn".  He 'must' earn nothing.  What he needs to earn depends on what lifestyle he wants to live.  Someone who is pursuing honours at the University should understand the difference.
