Is having a serious channel on youtube considered a full time job?

not channel about your kids playing or pranking your friends.   I have seen channel about Golf Tutorials, Computer Parts and Gaming.   Are people who made the videos considered having a full time job with pay?   What do you think?

ANY popular channel, whether it be pranks or not, does make money!!! And its probably decent. If you become viral, whether it be a Facebook group or a video or whatever, you make money I'm pretty sure!

I would personally say no.  But it can be an important piece of a person's overall branding.  For example, lets say someone who does cybersecurity consulting has a youtube channel that is very popular, to the point of that person making real money from it.  That person only has real credibility if they continue doing their consulting (even if it's in a reduced capacity).

If they're making their living from it, yes.  Otherwise it's just a hobby.

If you spend at least 8 hours per day on it, and the ads pay you as much as regular employment would, then it's a full time job.

The distinction between "full time" and "part time" isn't relevant to self-employment. Large companies have to meet certain regulations based on number of full-time employees, and usually offer those emplyees benefits (such as health insurance).
