Can somebody link a good HDMI sound extractor?

I need a way to take the surround sound from HDMI and send it to my speakers which use three 3.5mm plugs for 5.1 surround sound

Update:

I'm trying to get the sound out of the HDMI to connect my Xbox One X to my Logitech z506 which only has 3x 3.5mm jacks for surround sound which the xbox doesn't have hookups for

"Surround sound" is digitally encoded in any one of several formats, depending on the source - AC3, DTS or various HD versions now that have higher bit rates and qualities.

It's very different to basic stereo over digital / optical links, which has a fixed format and can be converted to analog easily.

The only guaranteed way to convert HDMI digital audio to discrete 5.1 analog is by using a home theatre amp that has HDMI inputs and a multi-format surround decoder, or a stand-alone surround decoder.

Those exist but they are not common and you may well be able to get a secondhand home theatre amp somewhat cheaper..

Example linked below, suitable for up to 1080p video connections:

So hypothetically the HDMI signal from the sound extractor will go to the TV ... dispersing video/sound around your home is certainly not a decent decision. ... For reasons unknown this piece of the plan of HDMI I interface in my psyche to ... keep anyone from effectively removing and recording any of the top of the line video/sound signs.

Go to Amazon and search HDMI sound splitter (or extractor) and find one that fits your needs with decent reviews. There are many many different options, so I'm sure you'll find one.

Without knowing what specific gear you wish to connect, no one can even guess.
