Why do SO MANY PEOPLE HATE NASCAR and MAKE FUN Of Those Who LIKE IT?

I might watch maybe 10 to 20 minutes of a Nascar race. I was never a fan of it. I have a friend that watches it every week. Then he will call me later in the day or the next day and tell me about the race. I asked him one day. Do you talk to Kevin (His son) about the race. He told me no. Well why do you continue telling me about the races. Since I do not follow it...

It is embarrassing to view a great sport whether on FiOS,
DISH, or Xfinity ... in your home, a club, or someone else's
home, and find that the audio mix is not up to par.
The microphones that are being used to pick up
the ambient track sounds, and the in-car mics that
are a 'great' addition, drown out most of the broadcast.
Way back when, you could actually "hear" every last scintilla
of the commentary from the booth, and the on-track reporters.
Not any more.
Nowadays, I rarely watch any NASCAR event on FOX networks
because the person who is in charge of the "final" audio mix that
goes out over the air, should've been replaced a very long time ago.

It is a bit boring but I saw one of the cars close up at Goodwood and they are pretty impressive.

hate is a bit strong, but a few reasons, the winner appears to be decided by luck half the time, second, the cars only seem to need to turn left. they even all have spotters just to make sure they don't make mistakes., i get part of it, the spectator can watch the entire race all the way round the track, but it still for me doesn't outweigh the negatives

Without precedent for some time, NASCAR has a scoundrel in its races. ... Busch was basically unloaded to account for the arrangement's most mainstream driver. ... What pesters individuals most is the way that he just deals with individuals like they are beneath him.

Because in the world of racing it's hardly the most complex version of the sport. It actually sums up the stereotype of americans really. It's over the top without being complex. The cars are all power and nothing else. The races, 1 direction so there's not really much thought too it. It's a very simple form of motor racing, designed for a simple audience, with commercials in mind. Lets also not get into the fact they can't cope with a bit of rain.
I watch a fair bit of NASCAR. It is entertaining at times. However there's no depth to it. I also think if took the best F1 drivers into Nascar. Within 5 year's they'd be winning the title. Take the best Nascar drivers and give them 5 years in formula 1,they'd be mid-rank at best.

Because it's essentially just a bunch of cars going around in a circle and a lot of people get way too heavily invested in it, in the same way that any sports fan can get too invested in what they're watching when they really like it. I personally don't care. If it makes you happy, I'm happy for you. It's also been heavily stereotyped in connection with rednecks, hillbilly's, and drunkards, so that probably doesn't help.

I stopped watching all sports when they started that BLM lie.
