What do I do with this mp3 player? ?
I bought an mp4 player at a local tech shop that I frequent, I don't like it. I've had it for three days, tested it out, it's great, but the format is not good for me. It plays primarily albums, but doesn't have a music list. If you want to play individual songs outside of a album, as in singles, you have to put it on random. I got it for $25, since I'm a frequent and good customer there, and it was a suggestion that that would be a possible alternative than trying to fix one that had a lot of technical issues that kept it from running right. Originally, it was $35, but I got a discount.
I don't want to return it, and disappoint the shop owner, but if I don't like it because of the format, what do I do with it?
It's a tech repair shop, he fixes tech like laptops and consoles, anything electronic. He also buys stuff and sells it. He probably bought it from someone, repaired it, and put it for sale. I'm not saying it doesn't work, just that I don't like the format on it. It's an mp4 player that can handle mp3s, so it may be be more for video playback. He's not a junk dealer, he does good work. The only reason he offered it was because my sansa didn't work anymore.
The one I brought in first needed the audio jack repairef, then needed a new battery. It was discontinued and kind of old, so he offered it as a way of saving money, as in just get a replacement rather than try to repair something that might need more work later.
Okay, I was wrong, the music list was right in front of me the whole time. I just didn't recognize it. I'm listening to it right now. Crisis averted and question answered. Thanks everyone!

mp3 players have sort of gone the way of the dodo as most people use their phones now to play music, you can upload music to your phone and play it just like a stand alone mp3 player, and you will get the same features as the expensive mp3 players, meaning you will be able to choose songs or albums or artists instead of just having to play random
